I am having the same problem and did information technology the mode you suggested.  (card reader built into my tower)  Merely in Win seven I just plugged the carte du jour in and was given a list of things to do, so I chose upload photos, and the right program opened.  When I plugged the card in in Win 10 I was asked to choose an app - I chose Photo - and information technology searched for every photo in the world except my SD carte.  Now I can't notice how to modify the default app.  If I observe out how to alter the app, which one will really read the SD carte du jour?

I finally figured out how to exercise information technology on mine.  I put my sd menu in then clicked on windows alive photo gallery then click File, and and so click on import photos and videos.  I have windows live photograph gallery on my desk-bound top simply it may be listed as a default equally well.

Starting time to wish I hadn't uploaded windows ten. Causing me nothing but bug.  I am trying to upload photograph's from my SD carte.  The computer no longer detects the SD carte has been inserted and the retentivity card does non come upwardly on any of the drives.  Feeling very frustrated!

I agree, the card is non recognized. I have never had the trouble before (new computer). I exercise like the speed of ten but more  help would exist appreciated.  Don't y'all miss manuals?

I tin't even observe Windows Live Photo Gallery.  How do you discover it?  I am frustrated.

I, too, am very frustrated. I found my photo gallery but I cannot withal become it to upload. It keeps telling me there is aught new to import.

I have new pictures on my menu and would like to upload them. I know at that place are new ones to upload.

How did y'all detect File to click? I can't fifty-fifty get to that, let solitary to get it to upload new photos. UGH!!!

I am now using Windows 10 and getting along beautifully until I tried to upload camera pictures past inserting the camera SD card into the appropriate slot on the harddrive (which has always worked in the past).  The drive is non even reading the SD bill of fare.  Earlier Windows 10 as soon as I put the SD card into the slot, information technology would instantly upload the pictures.

HELP!!!!!
